DC motors use roughly a third less power than AC at the same airflow and allow finer speed control, which is why they now dominate the mid and upper market. For industrial spaces, one HVLS fan replaces a dozen conventional ones and produces a gentle floor-level breeze rather than a draught. Check blade span against ceiling height and confirm the downrod and mounting suit the structure before ordering.
