That is why they have become the default for data centre free cooling, immersion cooling and process circuits — and why adiabatic versions, which spray only on the hottest days, now dominate hot-climate installations.

Choosing a Dry CoolerDesign ambient is the number that matters most and the one most often quoted optimistically. A cooler rated at 32C loses a large share of its capacity at 43C, so hot-region projects should be quoted at the real design condition or specified as adiabatic. Coil geometry follows the site: V-type packs more surface into a footprint, flat-type fits under low headroom. EC fans are worth the premium on any unit that runs year round.
