Tower & Pedestal Fans
Tower and pedestal fans sell on presence as much as performance — they stand in a living room, so appearance, oscillation smoothness and control method carry real weight. Tower fans occupy less floor area and suit modern interiors; pedestal fans move considerably more air for the money.
Tower or Pedestal
Tower fans use a cross flow impeller that produces a tall, even column of air with a small footprint — quieter and better looking, but moving less total air than a pedestal fan at the same power. Pedestal fans deliver more airflow and adjust in height, which matters in a workshop or large room. For either, DC motors with remote and timer now define the mid market; a fan without a remote is increasingly hard to sell.
