Wall Mounted Fans

Wall mounted fans free the floor entirely, which is why workshops, restaurants, gyms and livestock buildings use them where a pedestal fan would be knocked over or simply be in the way. The mounting bracket and its fixings matter as much as the fan — a heavy oscillating head puts real cyclic load into the wall.

Specifying a Wall Fan

Blade diameter and mounting height together set the throw; a 650mm fan at four metres covers a different area from the same fan at two. Oscillation spreads the air across a working area rather than blasting one spot, and is worth having in almost every commercial case. For livestock and wash-down environments, specify stainless or coated components — painted steel corrodes within a season in an ammonia atmosphere.
