High-Efficiency Cooling & Water Saving
The adiabatic dry cooler with cooling pads utilizes the pad media to pre-cool inlet air. By absorbing heat through water evaporation, it significantly lowers the air temperature, thereby increasing the heat exchange temperature difference and enhancing cooling efficiency. Characterized by a stable structure and the absence of water droplet carryover, it combines water-saving and high-efficiency advantages, making it ideal for industrial cooling scenarios in high-temperature and water-scarce conditions.
Dry cooler with adiabatic system – Adiabatic Cooler enables water to be cooled to within 6 °C of ambient wet bulb, water is used to increase the cooling effect when the ambient dry bulb is 3°C above the design wet bulb – for most of the year the unit operates as a conventional air blast cooler. Specifications can be tailored to suit each application, with different materials, sizes, noises and cooling mediums available.
Principle
Hot Fluid In: Hot process fluid enters the unit through the red-marked inlet connections at the top of the V-shaped coil. Adiabatic Pre-Cooling: Cool, dry ambient air is first drawn through the wetted adiabatic pads, where water evaporation cools the air to a lower dry-bulb temperature, creating pre-cooled air. Heat Transfer : The pre-cooled air flows over the V-coil and fins, while the hot fluid travels down through the coil tubes. Heat from the fluid is transferred to the passing air stream. Air Discharge: The top-mounted fans pull the heated air upward and discharge it as hot discharge air to the atmosphere. Cool Fluid Out: After releasing heat, the cooled process fluid exits the unit through the blue-marked outlet connections at the bottom of the coil.

Details
Wet Curtain
This is the core technology of an adiabatic cooler. Typically made of multi-layer corrugated plant fibers or specialized synthetic materials, these pads are positioned before the main heat exchanger. As hot, dry ambient air passes through the wetted curtain, water evaporates rapidly, absorbing heat and pre-cooling the air before it reaches the coil.
Heat Exchange Coil and Fins
This is the main body where actual heat transfer occurs. The process fluid (such as water, glycol solution, or dielectric fluid) flows inside the tubes. To maximize the heat dissipation area, the coils are tightly wrapped with aluminum fins (often using copper tube and aluminum fin combinations). The pre-cooled air then flows across these fins, removing heat from the fluid inside.
Fan System
Acting as the "lungs" of the equipment, the fan system provides powerful airflow dynamics. Usually located at the top or side of the unit, it forces or draws ambient air sequentially through the wet curtain and the heat exchange coil. Water Circulation and Spraying System
