We tested direct-cooled block ice and brine ice by placing them in foam boxes for 20 hours under the same environment. Direct-cooled ice melts far less and remains whole solid blocks instead of crumbling into pieces. The direct-cooled ice has many prominent strengths: It has a dense crystal structure for strong melting resistance and long cooling time. Every ice block has neat, standard shapes with smooth surfaces, which stack neatly and save transport space. The ice is hard and not fragile during loading. Working principle:
1.Ice Harvesting Phase Once the ice blocks are fully frozen, the system switches to hot-gas defrost mode. High-temperature discharge gas from the compressor is routed into the aluminum evaporator plates, melting a thin layer at the interface between the ice and the mold; the ice blocks then drop onto the bottom platform under their own weight. Upon completion, the platform automatically extends outward, allowing for direct transfer to cold storage or conveyor systems. 2.Fully Automated Cycle A PLC program automatically manages the entire sequence—water refilling, freezing timing, hot-gas defrosting, and ice pushing/resetting—requiring no manual supervision. 3.Composition of the machine This direct cooling block ice machine is integrally composed of aluminum ice molds, an automatic lifting water sealing platform driven by screw rods, 1.2mm painted stainless steel outer enclosure plates and thick thermal insulation layers, together with an integrated refrigeration and electric control unit on the left side to realize fully automatic ice making and ice unloading.
