Specifying a Cross Flow Fan
Impeller material follows the air temperature: aluminium alloy for anything in a heater’s warm-air path, plastic only where the stream stays near ambient. Length sets the airflow — doubling the impeller length roughly doubles the volume at the same diameter and speed. Motor position and shaft type must match the existing housing if you are replacing a unit; this is the specification most often got wrong on a substitution.
