Water Cooled

Heat is rejected through a condenser water loop to a cooling tower or ground source. Condensing temperature follows the wet bulb rather than the dry bulb, so efficiency holds up in hot weather and beats air-cooled equipment on running cost at larger tonnage. In exchange you take on the tower, pumps, water treatment and the legionella management that goes with them. Generally the right answer for plant rooms and large central systems, the wrong one for a small standalone unit.
