This fast freezing preserves food quality, texture, and nutrients by preventing large ice crystals from forming, making it ideal for individually quick freezing (IQF) items like fruits, vegetables, meats, and baked goods, ensuring they remain separate and high-quality after freezing.
How it works
Conveyor System: Products are placed on a mesh belt or stacked multi-tier belts that carry them through the tunnel. Cold Air: High-velocity fans blow extremely cold air (often below -30°C) over the products. Cryogenics (Optional): Some systems use liquid nitrogen or CO2 for even faster freezing. IQF (Individual Quick Freezing): The rapid airflow freezes items individually, preventing them from clumping. Insulated Chamber: An insulated housing maintains the intense cold and prevents outside heat from entering.
