If the pressure in the pump is lower than the vaporization pressure of the transported liquid, cavitation may occur.
To avoid cavitation and ensure a minimum pressure at the pump inlet, the maximum suction lift H[m] can be calculated using the following formula:

Pb = atmospheric pressure [bar]

NPSH = Net Positive Suction Head [m]

HS = Safety margin = Minimum 0.5m head
If the calculated H is a positive value, the pump can operate at the maximum suction lift H.

Application

CDM/CDMF is a multi-purpose product that can transport various media, from tap water to industrial liquids, and is suitable for different temperature, flow, and pressure ranges. CDM is suitable for non-corro sive liquids, while CDMF is suitable for mildly corrosive liquids.
Water Supply: Water plant filtration and delivery, water plant zonal distribution, main pipeline pressurization, and secondary water supply for high-rise buildings.
Industrial Pressurization: Process water systems, cleaning systems, high-pressure flushing systems, fire protection systems.
Industrial liquid transfer: cooling, boiler feed water and condensation systems, machine tool accessories, acids and bases.
HVAC: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system.
