Cold air gun introduction

Cold air gun is also known as vortex tube cooling gun, cold air pipe, vortex tube cold air gun, local cooler, dry cooler, etc.

Cold air gun is a cooling equipment suitable for factory application.The cooling range of the cooling gun is to reduce the
compressed air temperature of 140°F (77°C) to 75°F (41°C).Because the compressed air temperature is close to the ambient temperature, it can reduce the compressed air with an ambient temperature of 75° F to a cooling airflow of 0°F (-18°C).

How does Cold Air Gun Work

The vortex tube cooling gun uses the vortex tube to turn the ordinary compressed air into hot and cold low pressure airflow.The hot air flow is emitted through the rejector,the part is discharged from the hot air outlet, and the cold air flow is discharged from the universal hose. The soft pipe is directly pointed to the part to be cooled, and the heating parts are cooled immediately.Cooling gun belt-a magnetic base, very easy to install, and very lightweight.

Working principle

Compressed air into adjustable cold gun(1), one hot and one cold.
With the turn of a knob, the temperature control valve(2) allows some hot air to flow through a muffing sleeve and out the hot air exhaust(3).The cold air is muffled and discharged through the flexible hose(4), which directs it to the point of use.Easy mounting and portability are provided through the use of an attached magnetic base(5).

Operation instruction

1.Connect the cooling gun to the magnetic base.

2.The cold air outlet is connected to tens of universal coolant pipe.
3. Compressed air supply is connected to the air inlet and the air pressure is 6.9 kg.
4. Control the opening and stop of the cooling gun through the ball valve switch on the magnetic base.

Failed to achieve the cooling effect and the solution

Reason:

1. The compressed air intake pressure does not meet the requirements, and the flow rate is not enough.(The standard pressure of the cooling gun is 6.9Bar), leading to the poor cooling effect.

2. The diameter of pipe of compressed air is not required enough or air leakage occurs during assembly.

3. Compressed air is not clean, containing moisture, oil pollution and impurities (air is not filtered).

Solution:

1. Increase the compressed air pressure and flow rate

2. Compressed air intake adopts a pipe diameter between 10mm and 16mm.

3. Check the pipeline for air leakage and ensure the sealing between the components.

4. Compressed air must use an air filter to ensure that the air is a dry and clean air.
