Corrosion Resistant

Fans and exchangers for corrosive airstreams — plating lines, chemical stores, coastal installations. Housing material and coating decide service life; the aerodynamic side is usually the easy part.

Match the material to the specific chemistry, not to a general idea of corrosion. 304 stainless handles food and mild environments; 316 adds chloride resistance for coastal and marine work; FRP and PP suit acid fume extraction where stainless would not last. Coatings buy time but fail at fixings and edges first, so on long-service installations the base material usually decides the outcome.
